Ange confirms two more players have picked up injuries; will not play again this season

Tottenham’s season has been marred with injuries with over 20 players sidelined with various problems across the season.

And the problems continue to persist. Last week Destiny Udogie confirmed he will miss the rest of the season due to an injury.

And it now seems that two more players have been ruled out injured ahead of a hectic last few fixtures.

Ben Davies and Timo Werner to miss the rest of the season

Speaking to the media ahead of the Chelsea game, manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed that Timo Werner has picked up a a hamstring injury and will be out for two and a half weeks, ultimately ending his season.

He also confirmed that Ben Davies, who came in at left-back to replace Destiny Udogie, has picked up a calf injury.

The Welshman is also expected to miss the rest of the season.

Ange said (via Football London):

“Unfortunately we’ve had a couple of issues from the game (vs Arsenal). Timo with his hamstring obviously so we’ve got two-and-a-half weeks to go so he’ll miss the rest of the season. Ben Davies has got a calf injury and he’s out of the game and he’ll probably miss the rest of the season as well.”

Tottenham play Chelsea tomorrow before they travel to Liverpool. They are also yet to play Manchester City.

With a number of tough games ahead, the latest injuries comes as a massive blow for Tottenham and their hopes to finish top 4.
