After providing a nice lefty pop off the bench in 2021, Gavin Sheets has struggled so far this season. The 26-year-old owns a .204/.268/.328 slash line with four home runs and 10 RBIs across 149 plate appearances in 2022. Perhaps a stint at the hitter-friendly Triple-A level will help awaken his bat to prepare him for an inevitable future call-up.
Jimmy Lambert will join the White Sox big-league roster to provide pitching depth. The righty has struggled at Charlotte with a 9.24 ERA across 12.2 innings in 2022. However, he has fared slightly better in three appearances for the Sox this season, recording a 5.14 ERA in seven innings.
The Chicago White Sox look to bounce back from a painful Thursday loss when the Rangers visit the South Side tonight. The American League foes will do battle at 7:10 PM CT and the game will air on NBC Sports Chicago.
